Cannes: Remstar Buys Canada on Ideal Home With Paul Rudd, Steve Coogan (EXCLUSIVE)

Remstar Films has acquired all Canadian rights “Ideal Home,” a comedy with Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan.

The pair star as a bickering couple, one a celebrity, the other, his more hesitant partner. When Coogan’s grandson shows up at their high class dinner party, the couple reluctantly decide to take him in.

Andrew Fleming, who previously worked with Coogan on “Hamlet 2,” directs the film. Principal photography for the film began May 11th, 2016 and is currently underway in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Gabriella Tana (“The Duchess”), Maria Theresa Arida (“Arbitrage”), Aaron Ryder (“Mud”), and Remstar’s Clark Peterson and Maxime Remillard produced the film. Lisa Wolofsky of the National Bank of Canada is executive producing the film. Remstar Studios and the National Bank of Canada co-financed the film.

Fortitude International is handling foreign rights and is actively selling the film at the market in Cannes. UTA Independent Film Group and WME are repping US rights.
